Chisapani trek (2140m) is one of the shortest treks to the north of Kathmandu city. This trek is popular for the spectacular views of snowcapped mountains and beautiful Nepali villages with green terraces. Leaving aside a few settlements on the way, the hike trail passes through forest to Chisapani, the destination of the first day. Chisapani is a mixed settlement of Brahmins, Gurungs, and Sherpas. The village also commands a beautiful view of the large section of the Himalayan range, which emits an ethereal glow in the setting sunlight.
The hike leads you to a trail filled with abundant greenary and breath taking views – dense forests, wide meadows, waterfalls and hidden springs and panoramic views of the valley floor, surrounding hills and snowy peaks. You can hike to the top and descend in a day.
